Christine Guzzardo, passed at the Myrtle Beach Manor in Myrtle Beach, SC on August 10, 2023. Born October 23, 1920 in Jersey City, NJ, Christine was the 9th of 10 children born to Antonio and Theresa Esposito. She retired from Western Electric CO., Kearny, NJ after 25 years. Christine moved to Freehold, NJ in 1981. She was a communicant of St. Robert Bellamine RC Church in Freehold, NJ. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, The Freehold Senior Center, The Red Hatters, Brick Elks Club of Toms River, The Italian-American Club and W.E.R.A of Toms River. Christine was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Anthony, and 3 brothers and 6 sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Mericsko (George) and her son, Anthony (his companion, Paula) and 4 grandsons, Anthony and Michael Guzzardo, David (Karen) and Gregory (Sarah) Mericsko and 2 great grandchildren, David and Carolyn, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Christine will be held on August 23, 2023 from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM. The Funeral Mass will start 11:00 AM at St. Stephens Church in Kearny, NJ. Internment to follow, Holy Cross Cemetery at 12:15 PM.
